 Shelia L. Anderson is the Principal and Owner of A.C. Procurement Advisors, LLC. She has more than 25 years’ experience in procurement, primarily in the public sector. She holds a Bachelor of Arts  from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University, and both the Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) and Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) designations. 

Ms. Anderson held executive leadership roles at Wayne County Community College District and MGM Grand Detroit Casino and Hotel in Michigan. She also served as the Director of Procurement for Wayne County Airport Authority (Detroit Metro [DTW]/Willow Run [YIP] airports) and Chief Procurement Officer for the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she led procurement transformation initiatives. 

Additionally, Ms. Anderson held business management positions overseeing payroll, budget, materials & inventory, and auxiliary services for the University of Detroit-Mercy and the University of Michigan – Dearborn.

 As a consultant, she has led procurement optimization efforts for Midwest public-sector agencies, including Wayne County, Michigan, and the Columbus Regional Airport Authority (John Glenn International Airport [CMH]). Her work has included policy development, procedure review and redesign, and management of complex, high-value procurements, such as the $2.2 billion terminal project. She is an experienced change agent with end-to-end expertise in public procurement.
